Copies of Building Plans

As most of the City’s Building Plans are held in micro-fiche format, we can, where available, provide copies of the following information:

• Site plan, floor plan and elevations
• Building Licence Application

Who can request copies of Building Plans?

The City will accept requests from:

• the person shown on the City’s records as being the owner
• a person who is authorised in writing by the owner

For security reasons the City will require proof of identity.

How to request a copy of plans

A request may be made in person at the City’s Administration Building and, where possible, your request will be processed immediately. Alternatively a request may be made in writing by posting the building plan order form and fees to:

The request will be processed and posted back to you.

Copies of Commercial Plans

Where possible the City will provide copies of plans. However due to the size of many commercial plans a copy of the micro-fiche may be made available upon written request. In most cases commercial plans will need to be pre-ordered.
