Food Safe Program
Foodsafe is a simple food safety program that is commonly used by school canteens, child cares and some cafe's and restaurants. The packaged is implemented by a nominated person in the food business in conjunction with an Environmental Health Officer from the local government.
The program is very affordable compared with other food safety programs and can be purchased for around $120. The Foodsafe program comprises 2 main areas, food safety training for food handlers and documentation of safe food practices such as temperature records and cleaning schedules.
Please note that implementation of the Foodsafe program does not meet the requirements of a Written Food Safety Plan (WFSP) for those businesses required to have a such a program by Standard 3.3.1 of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.
