Aquatic Facilities
There are Requlations and a Code of Parctice in WA that cover the design and operation of aquatic facilities.
The definition of an aquatic facility covers places like pools, spas, water playgrounds, water slides, therapy pools and similar facilities that are open to the public. This legislation does not cover residential pools except for multi-residential complexes with more than 30 units.
The City of Joondalup routinely samples water quality at all facilities within the Joondalup area that are covered by the Code. For more information please contact an Environmental Health Officer on 9400 4933.
To obtain a copy of the Code please visit the Department of Health website .
