Portable Signs
What is a portable sign?
A portable sign is one which is not permanently fixed to the ground, a building, wall fence or structure.
Are businesses allowed to use them in public spaces?
No. Portable signs can not be erected in a thoroughfare or public space.
What other means of business promotion can I use?
The following signs are permitted in the City of Joondalup without a licence:
- An advertisement affixed to or painted on a shop window relating to the business carried out on the premises.
- A graphic displaying the name and occupation of any business premises painted on a window or wall. The graphic must not exceed 1.2 metres squared in an area higher than 600 millimetres.
