The Business Licence Information Service (BLIS) provides licensing information for new and existing businesses operating within Western Australia. It contains information and application forms for almost 6,000 local, State and Federal Government licences.
The service uses the term 'business licence' to refer to any form of government regulation, registration, permit or approval which applies to a business. The Business Licence Information Service provides:
- a summary of applicable local, State and Federal Government licences;
- the name, address, telephone number and web address of the agency which administers each licence;
- details of licence fees and periods of cover; and
- in many cases, application forms and other relevant documents.
