Capital Works Program

The Five Year Capital Works Program document has been prepared to provide information about the City’s Capital Works Projects planned over the next five years for the following program areas:

• Park Development Program
• Foreshore and Natural Areas Management Program
• Parks Equipment Program
• Streetscape Enhancement Program
• Traffic Management Program
• Parking Facilities Program
• Major Road Construction Program
• Paths Program
• Stormwater Drainage Program
• Street Lighting Program
• Road Preservation and Resurfacing Program
• Bridges Program
• Major Building Construction Works Program
• Major Projects Program

The Five Year Capital Works Program has been developed from the strategic directions, including the 20 Year Strategic Financial Plan, community requests and officer assessments to meet the anticipated community infrastructure needs and demands to match the future development of the City.

Council has approved for construction only those projects listed in the first year of the 2012/13 Five Year Capital Works Program.  All those projects detailed in the consecutive years 2013/14 to 2016/17 are only approved for listing in the Five Year Capital Works Program.

The Five Year Capital Works Program document contains a Five Year Overview and Program Information sheets which detail the purpose, background and some comments on each of the program areas. Following each summary sheet is a five year list of Projects within the program.
