Burns Beach café/restaurant - Expression of Interest process
An expression of interest process for a Café/Restaurant at Burns Beach was commenced in early 2014, however in October 2014 it was decided by the City’s Strategic Financial Management Committee (now Finance Committee) that the EOI be deferred pending the adoption of the Burns Beach Masterplan by Council.
The draft Burns Beach Masterplan was presented to Council earlier this year and was endorsed for the purposes of public advertising. Subsequently at its meeting held on 19 April 2016 Council authorised the Chief Executive Officer to terminate the current EOI process and initiate a new EOI for the development of a Café/Restaurant facility at Burns Beach.
The new EOI process is currently being developed and is expected to commence in 2017.
