Concept Plan 7.2 was:
- Endorsed by the Council in October 2011 as the plan to progress the preparation of a Business Case and Structure Plan for the development
- Developed with feedback and input from:
- Ocean Reef Marina Community Reference Group
- Ocean Reef Marina Committee (of Council)
- Developed in accordance with the Council’s resolutions of December 2010
- Provides for:
- An iconic marina development accessible to all residents
- First class boating facilities and infrastructure
- Quality marine recreation facilities
- Best practice environmental conservation and preservation and
- Includes:
- Boat pens and boat storage
- Family leisure and recreation amenities
- Commercial and retail (including food and beverage)
- Short-stay accommodation
- Residential
- Provision for the Ocean Reef Sea Sports Club and the Whitfords Volunteer Sea Rescue Group
- Community buildings and
- A sustainable interface between the urban and natural environment
