Communities In Focus
The Communities in-focus program aims to support and strengthen local volunteer run community groups and organisations. The program aims to provide opportunities to enhance the skills, knowledge and capacity of volunteer community group members, strengthen local networks and promote new connections and raise the profile of local community groups.

Communities
in-focus encompasses:
- Training opportunities
- Individual meetings with clubs on request
- Networking opportunities
- Community Funding Program – grant-based and assists community groups and schools with projects, events and activities that develop and enhance the Joondalup community.
- Community Group Recognition Program – provides acknowledgement to local community, sport and recreation groups in celebrating 25th, 50th, 75th or 100th anniversary milestones.
- Community Services Updates – an online summary of news received from a range of organisations, clubs, groups and government agencies;
