Group Fitness at Craigie and Duncraig
Group fitness is the ultimate way to stay motivated through a fun and diverse range of classes. Classes are suitable for all fitness levels as the City’s instructors provide coaching and alternative exercises dependant on your level of fitness and experience.
- Classes focus on a variety of conditioning, cardiovascular and resistance training for optimum results.
- Arrive 15 minutes before the classes, wear sportswear and training shoes and bring a water bottle and towel. Please allow 60 minutes for each class.
- Each class commences with a warm up, so in the interests of health and safety, entry will be refused once a class has commenced.

Abs, Butts, Thighs
Abs, Butts and Thighs uses the first half of the class to improve cardio fitness with low impact aerobic routines and the second half focuses on conditioning and toning the abdominals, bottom and thighs. Suitable for all fitness levels.
This class involves aerobic and conditioning exercises in shallow, warm water to music. It is an ideal class to increase fitness and strength with little impact on joints and is excellent for all fitness levels.
BoxFit uses a variety of boxing skills and techniques to give you a total body workout, improving stamina, cardiovascular fitness, coordination and muscle tone.
This class involves toning and cardio exercises to music in deep water, with buoyancy belts provided. It will increase your strength and fitness in a non impact environment and is ideal for all fitness levels and for those suffering from back, knee or hip related problems.
High intensity interval training using intense workouts with quick recoveries to burn fat.
Toned and Strong
Toned and Strong incorporates cardio with weights, tubes and body weight exercises for strength and tone.
This class is the Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm. This holistic workout involves a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music. View the Body Balance video

This is the ultimate groove class, a mix of dance and aerobic moves blended with the latest sounds of hip-hop, funk and Latin music. View the Body Jam video
This is the fastest way to shape up and lose body fat. It is a toning and conditioning class with weights, that challenges all major muscle groups. View the Body Pump video
A simple, athletic and fun workout using an adjustable step platform. This athletic workout targets your lower body. View the Body Step video
The fitness workout that lets you choose just how hard you work. This class integrates aerobic exercise for heart fitness, resistance training for strength and stability, and stretching and mobility work.
A dynamic workout to tighten and strengthen the core muscles.
A calorie killer workout where you’ll ride to the rhythm of powerful music. Take on the terrain through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials and interval training. View the RPM video
Extend your workout with more music tracks, hills and sprints on your stationary bike.
This class involves aerobic, toning and strengthening exercises for over 50s conducted in a warm shallow pool, using water as resistance. The class is set to 60s, 70s and 80s music, and will improve fitness and mobility.
A low impact class which will help improve cardio fitness and mobility as well as strength and toning. This class may incorporate some light weight work and use of equipment, bikes and fit balls.
Platinum Deep Aqua
This class uses buoyancy belts to keep you afloat whilst completing cardio and conditioning exercises in deep water. This class strengthens and tones without impact and is ideal for those with back, knee or hip restrictions.
Platinum Gentle Aqua
Platinum Gentle Aqua incorporates gentle exercises in shallow, warm water. This over 50s class is ideal for those exercising for the first time, recovering from an existing impairment or just wanting to remain mobile, active and motivated.
This class uses barbells and weights to toe tapping music, enabling you to tone and shape your legs, arms, stomach and back. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and will get you results!
This high intensity class, set outdoors, uses boxing and agility equipment. This class will assist you to achieve weight loss and to increase your fitness, strength and stamina.
An introduction to weight and fitness training for those aged between 12 and 16 years (school terms only).
Uses weights, treadmill, step, cycling and boxing to improve, tone and increase fitness.
Yoga is conducted by a professional who will help you to correct and realign your body. Meditation and relaxation techniques are incorporated. This class is suitable for all fitness levels. Please bring a large towel or yoga mat.
