Special Notice - Joondalup Library Maintenance Closure
Joondalup Library will be closed for stock-take and minor renovations from Monday 28 May to Wednesday 30 May 2012. The return chute located off Boas Avenue will be operating during this period. Whitford, Duncraig and Woodvale Libraries will be operating as usual. Regular scheduled programs, storytime and english conversation classes, will not be held. Joondalup Library re-opens on Thursday 31 May at 9.00am.
About Joondalup Library
The largest of the four branches of the City of Joondalup Libraries, Joondalup Library was officially opened on 13 July 1997 by the Hon P.G Foss MLC. The library provides an array of services, resources and facilities available to the public:
- Wi-Fi Internet connection
- Access to email
- Meeting rooms available for hire
- Online Public Catalogues
- Self serve loans
- Fax machine
- Photocopier (A4 & A3; colour & black and white)
- After hours return chute located on Boas Avenue
- Coffee and vending machines
- Helpful and experienced staff
- Comfortable reading and study areas
- Dedicated Junior and Young Adult areas

The collections include recreational and reading books and other materials for children, teenagers and adults, including:
- Large print books
- Multilanguage and Literacy materials
- Audio books
- Graphic novels
- Local newspapers
- Magazines
- Music CDs
- DVDs
- Engravers
- Power meters
- The City’s Reference and Local History Collections and Services are located within the Joondalup Public Library.
Community Events
The Joondalup Library provides many opportunities for community involvement in Adult and Children's events throughout the year. The Joondalup Public Library is also the site of the Volunteering WA (Joondalup) office 3 half days a week.
Location
The Joondalup Library is centrally located close to the City of Joondalup Administration building, near to various cafes and restaurants, and is accessible by train (a 10 minute walk from the station), CAT bus route 10 or 11, or Transperth Bus Line 465.
If you have a mobility disability, then access to the library is via the underground car park and a lift which will bring you to the foyer entrance of the library. The underground car park has four ACROD bays. Two are adjacent to the lift and two in an area closest to the Civic Centre. There are four additional ACROD bays close to the entrance of the City's Administration which will provide easy access to the Library, Civic Centre and Administration. There are paid parking bays surrounding the Library and City area.
