Reference Library 
The Joondalup Reference Library is located on the lower ground floor of the Joondalup Library. As well as trained, specialist reference staff, the Reference Library provides an array of services, resources and facilities available to the public:
- Seating for up to 100 people
- Comfortable and quiet study areas with desks
- 16 terminals with internet/email access
- Wi-Fi Internet connection
- 2 internet connected terminals with Microsoft Office 2007, XP (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- 1 stand-alone word processor
- 2 study rooms available for private study groups
- 2 printers (black and white)
- 1 photocopier (A4 & A3; black and white/colour)
- 1 A4 scanner
- Basic internet training (bookings essential)
- Online computing training courses
- Electronic Library - online databases
Reference Collection
The collection provides access to information available through a diverse range of sources including:
- Specialist journals in a wide range of subject areas
- Encyclopedias and dictionaries
- WACE/TEE resources including study guides, past exam papers and solutions for many subjects (10 years of back issues)
- National, local and international newspapers
- Local and interstate telephone directories
- Maps, atlases, street directories
- Reference books covering many facets of knowledge
- Council material
- Electronic databases
Items in the Reference collection are not available for loan, ensuring they are always available.
Location
The Joondalup Library is centrally located close to the City of Joondalup Administration building, near to various cafes and restaurants, and is accessible by train (a 10 minute walk from the station ), CAT bus route 10 or 11, or Transperth Bus Line 465.
If you have a mobility disability, then access to the library is via the underground car park and a lift which will bring you to the foyer entrance of the library. The underground car park has four ACROD bays. Two are adjacent to the lift and two in an area closest to the Civic Centre. There are four additional ACROD bays close to the entrance of the City's Administration which will provide easy access to the Library, Civic Centre and Administration. There are paid parking bays surrounding the Library and City area.
