Picture books, board books and story books

Reading to your child and interacting from a young age has been proven to assist in child development and learning.  Our libraries have a large collection of storybooks for all ages. These are complimented by stories on CD and our collection of DVDs and music CDs.

Ready...Steady...Go

A special collection of books to help first time readers become confident in their reading abilities.

Red Star is for first time readers, Blue Star is for those starting to read alone and Gold Star is for confident readers.

Junior project resources

A large range of books including school project materials and general interest topics, art and craft, historical myths, legends and more for young inquisitive minds. Some of our libraries also have a "Not for Loan" Junior Project collection. We also provide an electronic library via our website.

Magazines and Comics

We cater for a wide range of ages with subscriptions to some of the more popular magazines for Kids. From Disney to sporting titles, popular girls titles, Mad and The Phantom. Check them out on your next visit. There are more than 80 titles to discover.
