Resources & Services

The City of Joondalup Reference Library provides a range of resources and services including:

• A variety of electronic databases are available for members to access. Some of these databases are freely available, others require a library barcode login. Useful Websites are links to online resources for research and study.

• Acess to email
• Word processing services : Microsoft Office
• Printing facilities
• Scanning facilities
• Basic Internet training (bookings essential)
• Online computing training courses 

Facilities

The City of Joondalup Reference Library  provides comfortable seating for up to 100 persons and contains quiet study areas and cosy lounges. Our facilities include: 

• 22 computers with Internet and Email access
• 2 Internet connected computers with Microsoft Office 2007, XP ( Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher) 
• 1 stand-alone word processor 
• designated study areas
• 2 study rooms available for study groups 
• 2 printers (black and white)
• 1 photocopier (A4 & A3; colour & black and white)
• 1 scanner

Reference Collection

Explore the diverse access to information available through reference books, journals, magazines and newspapers, electronic databases, the Internet, council material; as well as online tutoring services and homework help. Items in the reference collection are not available for loan, ensuring they are always available to assist you with your information needs. The collection includes:

• specialist journals in a wide range of subject areas
• encyclopedias and dictionaries
• WACE/TEE resources including study guides, past exam papers and solutions for many subjects (10 years of back issues)
• national, local and international newspapers
• local and interstate telephone directories
• maps, atlases, street directories
• reference books covering many facets of knowledge
