Parks and Reserves

The City maintains in excess of 300 passive and active parks and reserves for the use and enjoyment of residents, as well as sport, recreation and community organisations.

The City's passive parkland areas are a great place for family picnics and barbecues or just to relax and walk the dog (dogs are permitted at most of the City's parks).

Active parks are used by sport and recreation groups for activities such as football, rugby, cricket, soccer, hockey, baseball, softball, tee-ball and many other outdoor leisure pursuits. Parks can be booked for sporting fixtures, community events and private functions. Conditions apply and applications need to be made for community events and private functions.
