City Of Joondalup Leisure Centres

City of Joondalup Leisure Centres offer a broad range of facilities and services for students and teachers.

Court Sports

•  A specialised team of staff can coordinate a range of team sports day events that include Round Robin fixtures, qualified umpires, equipment, prizes and trophies.

 Aquatic Facilities

•  50m outdoor heated pool available for school swimming carnivals in first term;
•  25 metre and 50 metre 8-lane lap pools available to assist you and your school team in swimming training. Lane hire is available, as well as experienced swimming coaches to assist you in further developing your students’ swimming technique;
• City of Joondalup Leisure Centre, Craigie can assist your school with swimming lessons throughout the year; and
• In line with the Department of Education and Training programs, our Austswim qualified instructors conduct the lessons in warm water and have small class sizes. 

Group Fitness

• Qualified and experienced Group Fitness instructors are able to take your class through a range of dance, cardio, circuit, yoga, pilates and lightweight training sessions;
• Classes are developed for those aged 12 -17 years. Instructors can come to your school, or you can bring your class to any of our Centres; and
•  Room and court hire are available with experienced instructors in all sporting areas.

Coaching Clinics

•  Coaching clinics in basketball, soccer and netball need to be pre-booked and sessions will be held predominantly in February - March and August - September.

Partnership Support

• Targeted material for students is sent to partnership schools, to be distributed to the pupils.  Included in this package are a number of free passes in recognition of the school's support.  We also support school fund raising initiatives and events by donating prizes.

Community Buildings, Parks, Beaches & Tennis Courts

Community Buildings

The City of Joondalup has community buildings available for hire.  These facilities are great for school functions, fundraising events and award presentation evenings.  The hire of all City buildings includes access to kitchen facilities (oven, fridge, urn) and tables and chairs.

Parks, Beaches and Tennis Courts

Parks, Beaches and Tennis Courts within the City are also available for hire both during and outside of school hours.

•  It is requested that schools make a booking with the City for the use of its Parks (including those adjoining school grounds) for all normal school activities (PE, recess and lunch time access) and sports carnivals and events. 
  Note:  Approval to conduct line markings requires permission from the City’s Community Facilities Bookings Officer.
• Tennis Court facilities can be booked by contacting the City’s designated tennis court booking officers. 
• Schools are also encouraged to book for the use of beaches and foreshore areas.  Demand for these areas is increasing, and a booking will help to avoid clashes with other schools and/or organised groups.
