Joondalup Festival

The 2012 City of Joondalup Festival attracted over 55,000 people across the weekend, enjoying a range of activities, live music and world-class entertainment. The Festival is the region’s largest cultural event and represents the finale of the City’s Summer Event Season.
Highlights for Festival included; APRA award winning Old Man River, Indie Favourites British India, along with local up and coming talent The Autumn Isles.
The Amazing Drumming monkeys wowed the ‘under 12 yrs’ crowd in Children's Paradise, while the BMX and acoustic stage were a massive hit for young people.
The Smoke Free Marketplace was abuzz with people, as Central Walk was filled with arts and crafts and gourmet produce.
Over 1000 people took part in the 2012 Street Parade, showcasing an array of talent and community spirit for the theme "The World is Your Oyster".
Urban Couture was bigger than ever for its second year with 11 pop up parades, ‘Art of Fashion’ and ‘Strike a Pose’ exhibitions, Restyle Marketplace and the ‘Shoot Me!’ cube supplying plenty of fashion fun.
The Food and Wine Oasis was a welcome new addition to the festival, with plenty of adults enjoying the free tasting and licensed area.
The projection lounge offered some visual delights and the festival finale including projections by VJ Zoo, Fashion Finale Runway, Fire and acrobatics performance and live music.
