Two-time ARIA-award winning artist Dan Sultan and his band delivered a soulful performance for the 7,000 crowd at the City of Joondalup’s 2012 Valentine’s Concert. (Feb 9.)
Held at the picturesque Joondalup Resort, the concert featured the haunting acoustic ballads and big band soul-rock sounds that Dan Sultan and band are renowned for.

s unique sound of blues, country, soul and rock ‘n’ roll.
Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard said the Valentine’s Concert was one of the most popular events in the northern suburbs, and that this year’s show reinforced the event’s stature as an iconic concert.
“The City of Joondalup is proud to deliver free cultural events to engage and entertain the local community, and the performance of Dan Sultan and his band was one of the best in the five-year history of this event.
“The atmosphere on-stage and in the audience was electric, with the whole crowd swinging to the unique sound of the blues, Dan
Sultan style.”
Concert-goers also showed their compassionate side, donating generously to the charity of the evening, Teen Challenge, which supports young people and runs drug prevention and rehabilitation programs.
The City would also like to acknowledge the support of this year’s Valentine’s Concert sponsors, Edith Cowan University, Joondalup Health Campus, the Community Newspaper Group and Healthway, promoting the Smoke Free WA message.
