Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a ticket to get in?
The Valentine's Concert is a free, ticketed event. Due to limited venue capacity, you will not be permitted to enter the concert site without a ticket.
How can I get a ticket?
Please see the ticketing page for further details, terms and conditions.
Where is the concert held?
The Valentine's Concert is held annually at the stunning Joondalup Resort, which offers spectacular native bushland, lush fairways and an array of flora and fauna, including free-roaming kangaroos. The Resort is located on Country Club Drive, Connolly.
What time does it start?
Doors open at 4.30pm.
Andrew Winton commences at 6.30pm.
Dan Sultan commences at 8.00pm.
Please Note: Occasionally changes occur that are out of the City’s control. Scheduled performance times and artist line-ups are subject to change.
How should I get there?
As parking at the Resort is limited, a free shuttle bus service to and from Joondalup Station will operate throughout the event.
ACROD parking is available on-site.
What should I wear?
The City of Joondalup suggests:
- Comfortable casual wear
- Comfortable flat-heeled shoes (high heels sink into the fairways and cause damage to the greens and the heel!)
- Something warm to put on after dark
- A poncho or raincoat if it seems likely to rain. Umbrellas are permitted for the safety and convenience of all.
Can I bring a picnic?
You are welcome to bring a picnic or purchase food and drinks on site. Please note, no drinks spikes are permitted.
What can't I bring?
Spikes, sun shades, tables, umbrellas and pets are not permitted. Chairs are permitted in specified areas only.
What are the seating arrangements?
Seating is on the greens of the Resort. The grassed seating is a short walk from the car park and shuttle bus drop off point.
Most seating is on the grass, so please bring a blanket or pillows.
Low chairs (with the seat no more than 15 cm from the ground) are permitted toward the front of the seating area.
Higher chairs and prams (unless fully disassembled) are only permitted toward the rear of the seating area.
Is the event accessible for customers with disabilities?
The seating area is approximately 300 metres from ACROD parking and the shuttle bus drop-off point, via a paved pathway.
Accessible seating for customers in wheelchairs is available just to the right of the main access pathway as you enter the venue, and will be clearly sign posted.
If you require space in this area, please advise the ticketing staff on entry to the venue and they will escort you. Customers requiring access to the wheelchair seating area may be accompanied by one seated carer. Carers are requested to provide their own chair.
Is this a smoke-free event?
All events presented by the City of Joondalup are smoke free. No smoking or visible tobacco products are permitted anywhere on the concert site.
