Public Comment for Memorials in Public Reserves Policy
The City of Joondalup is now seeking public comment on its revised Memorials in Public Reserves Policy. Since 2009, the Memorials in Public Reserves Policy has provided useful guidance for the City and community in the support and management of memorials in public areas.
Following a request to review the Policy at its 2015 November Council Meeting, the revised Policy has attempted to strike an appropriate balance between compassionately supporting local residents when they are experiencing and processing grief; and acknowledging community expectations in the maintenance of public open space amenity and safety.
The City encourages all interested community members and stakeholders to provide feedback on the draft document. Should you choose to submit feedback, you will need to complete the Online Survey Form by Monday 26 September 2016.
