New Local Law
Waste Local Law 2017
Under the powers conferred by the Local Government Act 1995 and the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Act 2007 and under all other powers enabling it, the Council of the City of Joondalup resolved on 21 February 2017 to make the City of Joondalup Waste Local Law 2017.
The purpose of this local law is to provide for the regulation, control and management of waste services, including the use and control of receptacles for the deposit and collection of waste, undertaken by or on behalf of the local government within the district.
The effect of this local law is to establish the requirements with which any owner or occupier of premises using local government waste services, including the use of receptacles for the deposit and collection of waste within the district, must comply.
The local law has been submitted to the Department of Environment Regulation for consent. Following receipt of consent, the local law will be published in the Government Gazette, and will take effect on the 14th day after publication.
