All dogs over the age of three months must be registered. Dog registration helps Rangers to locate owners, contributes to the maintenance of the animal care facility and supports ranger services.
All dog registrations in the City of Joondalup expire on 31 October each year.
Changes to Dog Registration Fees as of 1 November 2013
The Dog Act 1976 is currently under review.
The Dog Regulations 1976 have been amended and recently gazetted and include changes to dog registration fees effective from 1 November 2013.
The registration forms on this page reflect the new fees for dog registration as of 1 November 2013.

Important Note: Dog owners who are required to register their dogs by 31 October 2013 will need to call Ranger Services on 9400 4960 to obtain a registration form with previous fees or by visiting one of the City's Customer Service centres.
There are four forms available for dog owners: (All of these forms are available online in the Related Information on the right hand side of the page)
Dog Registration Form
For all dogs over the age of 3 months.
Dog Registration Transfer Application
This form is to be completed by the Owner or Agent selling or giving away the dog.
Dog Registration Address Change
This form is to be completed by the Owner or Agent moving address, either into, or out of the City.
Dog Registration Refund Application
This form is to be completed by the Owner or Agent claiming a refund for a dog registered with the City.
Replacement Registration Tag
If your dogs registration tag has broken or gone missing, please contact Ranger Services to organise a replacement tag.
There is a $7.30 charge for a replacement tag.
