Water
Water Tip: Add a soil improver or soil amendment to increase the water and nutrient holding capacity of your soil. This will save water and money.
Everyone can do their bit to reduce water use in the home and garden. Climate change and rainfall decline is making us rethink water resources and the way we use water.
The City provides resources that assist the community to save water in the home and in the garden and is working to reduce water use in City facilities and operations. You can learn more about saving water in the home.
How does your suburb rate
The average household in the City used 315 kilolitres of water in 2010/11, 13% above the Perth average. Winter is a great time to save water as your garden receives all the water it needs through rainfall. The Winter Sprinkler Ban is currently in force so ensure your reticulation systems are switched off. Let’s ensure we all do our bit and help our neighbours to reduce water use this winter.

ECOSTAR
