Infringment Appeal
Parking Infringements
The City of Joondalup aims to provide a high quality service to the public to ensure equity of access and for regulating and directing the movements and parking for residents, businesses and visitors.
Persons breaching parking local laws will receive infringement notices which will be enforced. It is recognised however that occasionally there may be mitigating circumstances which are not apparent to parking staff. Persons who have received an infringement and believe there are mitigating circumstances may appeal to have the infringement withdrawn.
However be aware that the circumstances where an infringement will not be withdrawn include:
- Doctor's appointment went into overtime
- Hairdresser did not finish on time
- Theatre ran overtime
- Restaurant service was slow
- A phone call was too important
- Meeting with a client went overtime
- Did not see the sign, or
- Sign was confusing
Requesting a parking infringement be withdrawn
A request to withdraw a parking infringement should be lodged within seven (7) days of receiving an infringement, to prevent further action.
The City of Joondalup will only accept a request form from the driver of the vehicle to which the infringement relates. Requests will not be accepted verbally over the phone.
