Parking permits

The City has devleoped Resident / Visitor Parking Permit areas in the City Centre and in some suburban areas. These areas have been developed to ensure there is adequate on-street parking bays for local residents, vistors, businesses and customers and to prevent people from parking long term in residential and commercial areas.

If you are a resident, living in one of these areas, you may apply for a permit that exempts your vehicle from the parking restrictions. Permits will allow residents, or their visitors, to park in their own street or any street in the affected area as shown on the permit.
