Joondalup's streetscapes are varied, and play a key role in the character of the City. The streets include City shopping strips, narrow streets, and busy arterial roads. The City aims to create streetscapes that have character and uniqueness into the future, contributing to the distinctive feel of Joondalup.
The City has an extensive programme for planting trees, shrubs and groundcovers throughout its parks, reserves and streetscapes. The City also supports many local friends groups who undertake bushland regeneration projects, and supports residents’ efforts in greening their streets by supplying and planting trees on residential verges free of charge. View the Street Tree Guidelines for more information on verge tree planting.
