Green Lid Bin
The City collects normal domestic household rubbish, all residents are supplied with a 240-litre Green Lid Bin, which is serviced weekly. An extra bin can be supplied for a fee.
What day is my bin collected?
To find out what day your Green Lid Bin is collected, you can search our Waste Search Facility which will also tell you your next Yellow Lid Bin and Bulk Waste collection day.
Where do I need to place my bin on collection day?
Your bin should be placed one metre off the kerb and half a metre away from the Yellow Lid bin, before 6.00am on your collection day, with the wheels and handles facing your home.
If you live in a cul de sac, which cannot be accessed by rubbish trucks, please place your bin on the bin pad at the top of the access way.
Are there any special services available for the disabled?

Second Green Lid Bin Application
Home owners can apply for a second green lid bin service by completing the Application Form. Alternatively, you can request this service by completing the online form. Additional charges will be incurred.
