School Awards
Who is eligible for the School Awards?
You can nominate yourself or be nominated by an educational institution if you are:
- a Year 10 student
- enrolled to study WACE or non WACE during Year 11 and 12, VET, Alternative Education Program
- a resident in the City of Joondalup
- an Australian Citizen
- attending an educational institution within the City of Joondalup
- supported by an educational institution (Government or Independent)
- not in receipt of another academic scholarship over the value of $500
What does the Award mean?
If you receive an Award, the educational institution (school) will receive $1,000 over two years to assist in furthering your education by paying for school fees, text books, uniforms etc. You will also receive a certificate, which will look good with your resume.
When can I apply?
The 2013 funding round will be open for applications during the month of October and November 2012.
How do I apply?
Fill in an application form and take it to one of your teachers (available soon). The educational institution (school) needs to complete the 'Confidential Principals Report' section of the application form.

What happens next?
A panel of judges will assess them to make sure they meet the requirements and select the successful applicants. You and your educational institution will be contacted with the result within two months of the closing date of applications.
