Sister City

Joondalup’s Sister City is Jinan, in the People’s Republic of China. The two Cities formalised a long-standing relationship in September 2004, in a ceremony which was broadcast on Jinan television.
The City of Jinan is located in the Shandong Province and is home to over five million people. The City is significant both culturally and historically, and is recognised as the birthplace of Chinese civilisation. The Joondalup-Jinan Sister City partnership was established to promote friendship, peace and cross-cultural awareness between the two Cities.
