Landscaping On Connolly Drive

In order to finalise the dualling of Connolly Drive project, the City is about to commence landscaping and associated works, from Burns Beach Road to Macnaughton Crescent.

Works are planned to commence at the end of May 2010 with a completion date of December 2010, and will include:

• Upgrading and extension of the pathway networks.
• Additional brick paving and landscaping at intersections, medians and roundabouts including the removal of some trees.
• Additonal lighting at the underpass.
• A new pedestrian barrier at the traffic light intersection of Selkirk Drive and Connolly Drive.
• Limestone retainer walls at various locations.
• Installation and upgrading of irrigation systems.
• Mulching of the median and verges.

The City apologises for any delays that may be experienced during these works, however, is committed to finalising this significant project.
