E-newsletter Competition Terms and Conditions 2011

The below terms and conditions apply to the Explore Joondalup E-Newsletter competition.

1. This competition is a promotion run by the City of Joondalup ("Promoter").
2. Entries and information on the prize and how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions.
3. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
4. The competition is open to residents of the City of Joondalup, who sign up for the City’s Joondalup Voice Online, Joondalup Libraries Events, Joondalup Lifestyle and Leisure Online or Clubs in-focus Online e-newsletter before 10.00pm WST Saturday 31 March 2012.
5. Entries can be completed online through the City’s e-newsletter webpage at www.joondalup.wa.gov.au. Mail and phone entries will not be accepted.
6. No responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for late, lost or misdirected entries.
7. The competition commences 30 October 2011 and closes 10.00pm WST 31 March 2012. The competition will be drawn at 3.00pm WST on 6 April 2012 at the City of Joondalup Administration Building, 90 Boas Avenue, Joondalup, 6027.
8. There will be one winner chosen at random from a database of all eligible e-newsletter subscribers. The promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
9. The winner will be notified via email by Friday 13 April 2012.
10. The prize consists of one iPad 2 including Wi-Fi + 3G, 32GB, 9.7-inch (diagonally) LED-backlit Multi-Touch display, back and front cameras, 1GHz dual-core Apple A5 custom chip, dock connector to USB cable and 10W USB power adapter. Valued at $839.00
11. The prize does not include product warranty, AppleCare Protection Plan or accessories.
12. Prize components may alter at the discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter will not be liable for any change in the value of the prize between the date Explore Joondalup is issued and the date the prize is claimed.
13. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
14. Collection of the prize will be organised by the winner following notification of their winning entry. The Promoter will not be liable for any delivery or travel costs associated with claiming a prize. The winner must collect their prize by 6 July 2012 or it will be judged forfeited.
15. The information that entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the competition. By entering this competition entrants consent to the use of their contact details for the purposes described in this clause.
16. Photographs will be taken at the prize collection for marketing and media purposes and the Promoter has the right to use these images without seeking prior approval of the prize winner.
17. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage or for any personal injury sustained as a result of taking the prize or entering into this competition. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any goods or services offered as prizes.
18. Employees of the City of Joondalup, including their immediate families, its agencies and companies associated with the competition are ineligible to enter.
19. The Promoter is not responsible for the warranty of the prize.
20. The prize winner must provide suitable identification to the Promoter’s satisfaction to claim the prize.
21. Competition results will be published in the Joondalup Voice printed in the Joondalup Weekender Community Newspaper on Thursday 26 April 2012.
22. The promoter reserves the right to amend or change these terms and conditions as their discretion.
23. If for any reason the competition does not run for its entire duration due to a computer virus, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter then reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to (a) disqualify any entrant or (b) modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
