Proposed Draft Local Commercial Strategy

The City is currently seeking feedback and comments on its draft Local Commercial Strategy.

The purpose of a Local Commercial Strategy is to provide guidance for decision making in regard to commercial centres with respect to future rezoning applications, development applications, centre plans and amendments to existing structure plans.

The draft strategy outlines recommendations that would be implemented through the new local planning scheme, policy measures, or other appropriate mechanisms. 

The document can be viewed below and at the City’s Administration Centre, Joondalup; Whitford Customer Service Centre, Hillarys; Craigie Leisure Centre Craigie and all of the City’s libraries. Comments must be made in writing to City of Joondalup, PO Box 21, Joondalup WA 6919 or by email up to and including Monday 22 October 2012. 

Please ensure comments are clear and concise so they can be considered by the City.  All submissions will become public record, however your personal details can be withheld if you so request.
