20 – 22 Plaistow Street, Joondalup – 6 Multiple Dwellings
The City has received and is currently assessing a proposal for the addition of six multiple dwellings at the above address.
The proposal is required to meet State Planning Policy 7.3 Residential Design Codes Volume 2 – Apartments (SPP7.3), Joondalup Activity Centre Plan and the City’s local planning policies.
SPP7.3 is divided into different ‘design elements’ (for example; plot ratio, building height, street setbacks, building orientation, landscaping, visual privacy, parking). For all ‘design elements’ there are objectives that need to be met. Unlike the previous Residential Design Codes, SPP7.3 does not have a ‘deemed-to-comply’ pathway and provides acceptable outcomes and design guidance to assist in meeting the objectives. Further details on SPP7.3 is available on the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage website, dplh.wa.gov.au/designwa.
You may wish to provide a submission on the proposal, as a written comment, by Tuesday 22 October 2019.
Submissions will be considered as part of the overall decision making process and if you choose to make a submission, you will be notified of the outcome of the proposal.
Submissions can be sent to the City via email or posted to P.O. Box 21, Joondalup WA 6919.
For assistance in reviewing the plans or for further information on this proposal please contact the City on 9400 4100 or visit the City’s Administration Centre.
