59 Beachside Drive, Burns Beach – Restaurant/Cafe (modifications to previously approved development)
The City has received and is currently assessing a planning application for modifications to a previously approved restaurant/cafe development at the above address and you are invited to comment on the proposal.
The application for modifications relates to the restaurant/café development previously approved by Council in June 2018.
The modifications relate to a new architectural design for the restaurant/cafe however the use and scale of the proposal remains unchanged from the current approval, noting the following:
- The development is proposed to remain as a single storey building;
- The development largely maintains the same footprint as previously approved, with the building increasing by approximately 17m2 and the overall roofed area being reduced by 29m2;
- The development proposes no increase in patron numbers than previously approved (163 patrons in total, comprising 85 indoor seats and 78 outdoor seats);
- The development proposes no change to the approved parking arrangements (construction of 30 new on-street parking bays along Beachside Drive and Grand Ocean Entrance, resulting in 65 on-street car bays within 200 metres of the subject site. The 10 on-site bicycle parking bays previously approved remain unchanged).
