Awesome Autumn

Autumn is awesome when you visit the library during the school holidays. Hop in, learn something new and create something memorable at your City of Joondalup Libraries.The complete program can be viewed on the City’s event calendar.

Cost is up to $4.00 per child per activity. Bookings are essential and open online from Monday 1 April 2019, 9.30am. There is a maximum of three events per child, and parents/carers of children under 12 years are required by library policy to remain in the building while their children attend the event.

How to book

  1. Open the Events Calendar
  2. In the filter by category box, select school holidays
  3. Click on the link for the activity you would like to book
  4. Click on register to add your child’s details.

What’s on offer

Peter Rabbit

Monday 15 April 2019, 2.00pm – 3.00pm, Joondalup Library
Recreate Mr McGregor’s Garden, with sneaky Peter Rabbit in it. Make rabbits out of wool and vegetables and create a diorama to take home. For ages 5 to 12.

Key Ring Creations

Tuesday 16 April 2019, Woodvale Library
Session One, 10.00am – 10.45am
Session Two, 11.00am – 11.45am
Minecraft creeper, Easter egg, minion or Star Wars keychain? With ironing beads you can create any design you like. With templates to use or get creative and design your own special keychain. For ages 5 to 12

Pipe Cleaner Craft

Wednesday 17 April 2019, 10.30am – 11.30am, Duncraig Library
Bend and twist colourful pipe cleaners to form and fashion your own furry friends, pencil topper, mini cactus or even an Easter decoration. The possibilities are endless. For ages 5 to 12.

Paper Bag Puppets

Thursday 18 April 2019, 10.30am – 11.30am, Whitford Library
Let your imagination run wild when you create your own paper bag puppet. Will you create an animal, a story book character or maybe even a googly eye monster? The possibilities are endless. For ages 5 to 12.

Lego Mini Golf

Wednesday 24 April 2019, 10.30am – 11.30am, Joondalup Library
Are you ready for a hole lot of fun? Using Lego, let’s build a mini golf course in the library. For ages 5 to 12.

Transform a humble peg into something awesome at the libraries’ DIY Maker Space, then search for the places you would discover when reading some of your favourite classics in our holiday Treasure Hunt. Cost is free. No bookings required. For ages 5 to 12.
