Joondalup Christmas Markets
Meet Up for a sparkling Christmas, supporting our local Town team Heartbeat Joondalup. Come down to Central Walk in the Joondalup City Centre to enjoy Christmas Markets.
From 4pm - 8.30pm on the following dates:
- Friday 29 November
- Friday 6 December
- Friday 13 December
Enjoy live entertainment, free kids’ activities, Santa, over 40 market stalls, and an array of local restaurants. Motion by the Ocean, a free trishaw ride volunteer service along the coast will be offering elderly and people less mobile a tour of the Christmas lights during the markets on Friday 6 December and Friday 13 December. Join in the Joondalup City Centre Christmas Adventure for a walk from Joondalup Library through Central Walk and beyond.
Bring the whole family and experience Joondalup’s enchanting Christmas displays including augmented reality (AR). Wander through Central Walk and beyond to enjoy interactive, oversized Christmas decorations that make for the perfect festive photo backdrop tagging @uptown.joondalup. Snap some magical shots with our AR Christmas characters, bringing a touch of high-tech fun to the holiday season.
Walk through a bauble, jump on a reindeer, find your wings and fly! You may like to start at the Joondalup Library, Joondalup Courthouse or all the places in between.
Explore at your own pace, discover hidden surprises, and soak up the holiday cheer throughout the City Centre. Parking on weekends and public holidays is free, and timed parking restrictions don’t apply.

Celebrate Christmas with us in Joondalup and make memories to treasure!
Festive fun for the whole family at Joondalup Libraries
Joondalup Library is feeling festive, with lots on offer for families over the holiday season.
Pop in to any of our four libraries to see our beautiful Christmas decorations. This year we are offering free family photos at all four branches and special letters to Santa. Our Christmas story time sessions for 2–4-year-olds will be held from Monday 9 December-Saturday 14 December, and we look forward to enjoying lots of Christmas songs, stories, and rhymes with our families. We also look forward to once again welcoming Becky Buckaroo for her Christmas Bonanza on Monday 16 December at Joondalup Library.
For the adults we have two outstanding musical events, with the Merry Christmas Jazz Show and Serenades of the season with tenor Jay Weston.
For those who enjoy crafting, we have Discovery Sessions on Furoshiki gift wrapping and stitching.
Joondalup Library is open until 5pm on Tuesday 24 December, so there is lots of time to pop in and stock up on your holiday reading. The digital library is available 24/7 for free eBooks, audio books, movies, music and much more.
