THE LINK Website Launch
The City of Joondalup and Edith Cowan University (ECU) have collaborated on a new website that brings together research, business and investment elements and aims to drive innovation and business growth in the region.
Mayor Troy Pickard and ECU Vice-Chancellor Steve Chapman officially launched THE LINK website – which stands for Location, Innovation, Network, Knowledge, at a Business Forum to approximately 200 business stakeholders.
Mr Matt Taylor, Parliamentary Secretary to the State Minister for State Development, Finance and Innovation and Mrs Sharon Grosser, from local business SEQTA Software, also spoke at the Forum.
THE LINK helps businesses take advantage of opportunities to connect with global leading ECU research expertise to support commercialisation of ideas. It also promotes Joondalup as the main strategic location for technology and innovation in Perth’s Northern Corridor and showcases the City to prospective businesses and entrepreneurs as an innovative place to invest.
With the Federal Government’s National Innovation and Science Agenda identifying the importance of innovation to every sector of the economy, THE LINK will help to drive innovation and business growth in the region, encouraging the brightest minds in research and business to work together to create novel solutions and job-creating enterprises.
