Do you have boxes of precious memories on video tapes that you can no longer watch?
Come to the Digitisation Station at Woodvale Library to convert your tape into a digital video file for free. Watch your memories again on your computer, tablet or smartphone and share them with your friends and family.
What it does
- The Digitisation Station plays your video on a laptop.
- The laptop records your video and converts the recording into an mp4 video file. NOTE: the video must play in real-time, so allow enough time to play the entire recording.
- Save the file to an USB or external hard drive to take home.
What to bring
- The tape that you want to convert.
- A storage device such as a USB or external hard drive to save your video to. NOTE: Allow at least 1GB storage per 1 hour of video. A Minimum 5GB device is recommended.
- Headphones to listen to your video.
