Donations for a treasure hunt

Categories:

City Libraries in conjunction with the Look for a Book, Perth Facebook initiative are calling for donations of books suitable for ages 0-6 years. The City is supporting this group who seek to collect 300 books for a treasure hunt at this year’s Little Feet Festival.

If you have unwanted, good quality children’s books and are prepared to donate them for a treasure hunt, please deposit them at the City of Joondalup Library undercroft carpark elevator foyer before October 23.

Look for a Book at the Joondalup Little Feet Festival

The aim is to hide books for children to discover and read at this year’s Little Feet Festival on 27 October 2019. Pre-loved books are secured in bags with a message of encouragement, then hidden throughout the Festival area for children to find and read. Children then have the choice to keep it, pass it on to a friend to enjoy or re-hide it for other book hunters to find.

More about Look for a Book – Perth

Look for a Book is a free initiative for adults and children. It’s a great way to get the children outside, kind of like an old school treasure hunt and has the added benefits of someone enjoying a lovely story then hiding the book again for someone else to enjoy. For further information about more about this movement within your neighbourhood, check out the Facebook page.
