The City of Joondalup has prepared the above planning scheme amendments for the combined purpose of reducing the residential density code for all properties in Housing Opportunity Area 1 west of the Mitchell Freeway, Duncraig, from R20/40 and R20/60 to R20/30.
The residential density code of R20/40 and R20/60 was applied to the areas as part of the implementation of the City’s Local Housing Strategy. As a result of a request by some residents of Duncraig, Council at its meeting held on 27 June 2017 resolved to initiate Scheme Amendment No 88, and at its meeting held on 12 December 2017 resolved to initiate Scheme Amendment No 90.
