A PLACE TO VISIT, A PLACE TO INVEST

Nestled between the bush and the sea, Joondalup is one of WA’s premier tourism destinations – the gateway to the state’s north, offering year round attractions for luxury, culture and family-friendly fun.

Joondalup is located within one of the top 10 tourist markets in the world and with its close proximity and shared time with many Asia Pacific cities, the region is the prime position to cater for and engage this tourist market.

The City of Joondalup is the coastal tourism destination of choice for the northern suburbs. With the state government investing millions of dollars into the development of Ocean Reef Marina and the Hillarys Boat Harbour masterplan, Joondalup will become the only region which is home to two world class marinas cementing its position as a prominent coastal tourism destination.

The Joondalup region is home to one of Perth’s most visited attractions – Hillarys Boat Harbour. The harbour features many unique dining options on the water as well as Perth’s only underwater aquarium – AQWA (Aquarium of WA). With a regular domestic and international visitor audience already established, there are unique opportunities for tourism businesses in this area.

With a steady stream of international and local visitors, Joondalup offers a wide range of opportunities for creating accommodation, building on an already impressive network of places to stay.

The 17km of stunning coastline that borders the City of Joondalup as well as Joondalup City Centre’s close proximity to Yellagonga Regional Park provide distinctive opportunities for potential eco-tourism attractions.

The City is committed to attracting tourism investors to improve the amenity for locals and attract domestic and international visitors. Annual visitor spend pre-covid was $760 million.

Joondalup is a place to visit and a place to invest.
