Support for community groups and organisations
The Communities in-focus program aims to support and strengthen local volunteer-run community groups and organisations. The program provides opportunities to enhance the skills, knowledge and capacity of volunteer community group members, strengthen local networks, promote new connections and raise the profile of local community groups.
There are a range of programs and services that support local groups and organisation, please view the below document for an outline of what is available.
Training opportunities become available as part of an annual calendar to help groups be well run, financially viable and meeting the expectations of members.
The Tuesday 3 December 2019 Communities in-focus program Harnessing Passion and Capacity, Community Leadership, is not to be missed. Registrations are essential. Please visit the registration page to secure your place.

One-to-one meeting opportunities
Community Development Officers are available to meet with clubs needing assistance or information to navigate governance challenges, marketing or planning assistance.
Networking opportunities will be available at Communities in-focus training and special events.
Community funding program
The Community Funding Program is a small grants program that can assist community groups and schools with projects, events and activities that develop and enhance the Joondalup community.
Community group recognition program
Community Group Recognition grants provide acknowledgement of local community, sport and recreation groups celebrating 25th, 50th, 75th or 100th anniversary milestones.
