Dogs Day Out
The City will not be holding a Dogs Day Out event in 2018, but instead is liaising with the RSPCA regarding future opportunities to partner in events such as their successful community “Million Paws Walk” or a similar type event in the northern corridor.
While recognising the Dogs Day Out has been popular with dog owners and their animals since it was first held in 2014, the event was created to encourage and support responsible dog ownership in our community. The City is now actively trying to encourage and support responsible dog ownership through a companion animal doorknock program, outlining to dog owners their various rights and responsibilities and to ensure the importance of dog registration and microchipping is understood.
Further information will be provided when available.
