Games for adults
There are many opportunities for adults to play games in our libraries, whether you are looking for a regular day and set time or perhaps a more relaxed and impromptu occasion.
Game On
Game On is a fun and inviting group who meet once a month. Game On gives all adults the opportunity to meet, socialise and play a range of card games and board games with other like-minded people. Bookings are essential and the cost also covers morning tea.
Games include Scrabble, Chess, Rummikub, Sequence, Canasta and many more.
Mah-jong
For those who enjoy a challenge, Mah-jong has its own dedicated club who meet twice a month.
Tabletop games
Tabletop games are specialised games that require strategy and tactics. Games include:
- Ticket to Ride
- Pandemic
- Dead of Winter
- Star Wars: X-wing
Tabletop games are played on Saturday mornings exclusively at Whitford Library, 10.00am to 12.30pm. Anyone over 16 years is welcome and help is provided.
Chess group – Defend The King
An informal weekly session for lovers of chess of all ages or those who wish to learn a little more. Held exclusively at Woodvale Library on Thursday afternoons, 4.00pm to 6.00pm.
Games at any time
If one day a month is not enough, Joondalup Libraries have board games to use in the library. Bring a friend or two to enjoy the relaxed and comfortable surroundings at any time to suit yourself.
