International business development opportunities
The City of Joondalup has a Council endorsed International Economic Development Activities Plan.
The Plan identifies opportunities to generate economic outcomes for the City and its businesses that align with industry strengths and business growth opportunities. The Plan will also assist as a guide for the development of international business relations with countries such as China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea.
Key industries identified in the Plan include:
- Health and medical, including aged care
- Education and training
- Retail
- Tourism
- ICT
- Creative industries
- Finance and business services.
A program of activities has been developed to cover the following strategic priorities:
- Export development
- Investment attraction
- International education
- Profile raising
- Infrastructure development.
The City has a dedicated International Economic Development Advisor focusing on implementation of the Plan. Local businesses that are interested in expanding their products or services to international markets, and international businesses seeking to expand into Western Australia are encouraged to contact the City of Joondalup.
