Kaleidoscope 2018: Parking in the City
Back for its electrifying third year, Kaleidoscope, Western Australia’s largest festival of illumination, will again light up the Joondalup City Centre and transform the City into an extraordinary wonderland of projection, illumination and art.
To ensure the safety of all visitors and performers, it is necessary for some of the car parks in the City Centre to close at various times. These closures will affect visitors to the Joondalup Library and the City’s Administration Building.
Parking in the Joondalup Library under croft car park will only be accessible until 3.00pm each day between 1 – 4 November 2018, reopening at midnight each night.
Parking in the City Centre remains free on weekends.
Customers are also encouraged to use the secure Reid Promenade multi-storey car park during this time. The multi-storey car park will be open for extended hours throughout Kaleidoscope:
|Thursday 1 November||6.00am – 11.00pm|
|Friday 2 November||6.00am – 12.00midnight|
|Saturday 3 November||4.30pm – 12.00midnight|
|Sunday 4 November||4.30pm – 12.00midnight|
Early bird parking rates are available before 8.30am.
On event days between 4.45pm and 10.45pm, two road closures will be in place. Grand Boulevard will be closed between Collier Pass and Boas Ave, and Boas Avenue will be closed between Grand Boulevard and Davidson Terrace. These closures will allow vehicles to enter and exit from Lakeside Shopping Centre car park.
The City apologises for any inconvenience to customers, and hopes to see you at Kaleidoscope for one or more nights as the City Centre is transformed into a remarkable spectacle for the benefit of residents, visitors and local businesses.
