Land Optimisation

The City owns a number of sites in freehold and also manages land on behalf of State Government.

The City reviews the land it owns and manages periodically to establish whether the uses are still appropriate and provide an optimal overall benefit to the City and its residents.

In general, terms, reporting to Elected Members on land investigations is generally done via the Major Projects and Finance Committee (Committee) in the first place.  These meetings take place every two months from March until November.  Should the Committee recommend a course of action, Council’s support is required.

Major Project and Finance Committee and Council agendas and minutes are available on the City’s website, with links provided below.
