Over the Luminight weekend, various attractions will be located within Central Park, Joondalup. These include:

‘Lilypad’ Community Art Installation

Over 800 Lily pads will be on display in the ponds at Central Park South.

Artist Sean Adamas and 11 local schools have come together to create this beautiful installation.

The Money War

The Money War, Dylan and Carmen Ollivierre are a songwriting duo from Western Australia. Since their formation in 2016, their success has seen them tour nationally with the likes of Meg Mac, Dope Lemon, Holy Holy and Neil Finn. Their latest album ‘Home’ was nominated for the Australian Music Prize in 2019, and they have also been nominated for multiple WAM Awards.

Carla Geneve

Carla Geneve is a 22 year old singer-songwriter based in Perth, Western Australia. Backed by a captivating show and unique brand of brutally honest lyricism, Geneve established herself as one of Australia’s most prominent up and coming artists after the release of her breakout debut self-titled EP. This led her to touring Australia prolifically playing sold out shows and festivals such as Laneway Festival and Falls Festival as well as tour with/support artists such as Cat Power, Kurt Vile, Julia Jacklin, Belle and Sebastian, Fred Armisen and more.

Steve Hensby Trio

The Steve Hensby Trio is 3/9th of a funk/soul/world band from Perth Western Australia. They returned from their second UK tour in January 2020 promoting songs from their third album. The act draws from folk/jazz influences, Steve’s humour, talent and energy combined with Elysia beautiful vocals never failing to win over audiences.

Good Grace

Good Grace create an atmosphere that’s intimate and thought-provoking, with a drive and power that toys with your heart. Starting with the folk influences of established singer-songwriter Johannah Grace then blending in the 80s rock influences of Luke and Chris Olejnik and the later addition of Shaun Davis (keys/vocals) and James Vinciullo (bass/vocals) their sound has evolved into alternative folk-rock that is brimming with honesty and heart.

HAIRCARE

HAIRCARE brings to the table an alternative rock/indie lofi nostalgia which is in league with the genre’s best. The band, made up of members Broderick Madden-Scott, Jack Gaby, Oscar Van Gas and Benny Trouchet, create a style reminiscent of staples such as The Strokes and MGMT, ranging through to the oddities of Ariel Pink, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Connan Mockasin.

Alter Boy

Alter Boy is a electro pop band from Perth, WA. Three of its members are Deaf/ Hard-of-Hearing and all songs are performed in Auslan (Australian Sign Language). Expect shiny, dark pop with chaotic performance art.
