Off road vehicle restrictions

Off-road vehicles such as motorbikes and four-wheel-drives can damage environmentally sensitive areas, such as beaches, sand dunes, wildlife, flora and fauna, if used inappropriately.

The use of off-road vehicles is not permitted within the City of Joondalup unless on private land with the consent of the landowner. Noise conditions may still apply.

There are no off-road vehicle areas within the City of Joondalup and use of off road vehicles within the City’s district may result in penalties.

There are four areas outside of the City of Joondalup, available for off road vehicles:

• Pinjar off-road vehicle area, corner Old Yanchep Road and Wattle Ave, Pinjar.
• Gnangara off-road vehicle area, Gnangara Road, Lexia.
• Lancelin off road vehicle area, entrance of Bootoo Street.
• Ledge Point off-road vehicle area, Ledge Point Road, Ledge Point.
