Social Needs Analysis

The City has undertaken a social needs analysis to gather a suite of technically robust, objective social needs data to assist the City plan responsibly for the social needs of future generations.

The analysis is intended to be used as an informing document to complement and support other frameworks to guide appropriate decision-making and will assist the City to effectively fulfil its role in delivering or advocating for services and infrastructure.

Externally, agencies and groups involved in the delivery of social services may also find the analysis beneficial to support their advocacy for support services in the City of Joondalup.

The analysis was undertaken over fourteen social service categories, which combined relate to seven social services streams, including:

• Aged care and senior support
• Childcare and child health
• Community services
• Cultural
• Education
• Library
• Sport and Recreation
